Trad Gear Workshop

‍The aptly named Trad gear and chat.

Interested in learning or honing trad gear skills?

Whether you've learned gear placement from friends and feel you have knowledge gaps, maybe need a refresher or aim to move from sport climbing to trad - this workshop is for you!

This is the product I am most passionate about. I feel that most beginners do not get enough relaxed practice time on conventional courses.

In this workshop, we cover the range of trad gear commonly found on UK trad racks, alongside some less obvious additions and the random fixed gear you find in the southwest.

Throughout the day, we focus on hands-on learning, demonstrating how to find, place, and assess each piece of gear. We have open discussions and reflection at every stage, ensuring participants feel happy to ask questions and refine their techniques.

Location:

Cleeve, conveniently situated just a 20-minute drive from Bristol via the A370. Ample free parking is available, with lift-sharing options if required.

Cost: The workshop fee is £75 per person, (£65 pp for weekday afternoons) which includes access to a comprehensive range of trad gear. While participants are encouraged to bring their own harness and helmet, spare equipment is available upon request.

To book simply click on the course date on this page.
